With 573 investments since 2012, Insight Partners is an extremely active acquirer and investor in technology. In 2019 alone, Insight completed 11 platform or PE growth transactions, 66 add-on acquisitions, and 58 minority investments, all in technology. In April 2020, Insight closed its largest fund ever. At $9.5B, Insight Partners Fund XI represents the third largest tech only fund raise in the last two years. Insight has seen 12 of its portfolio companies complete successful IPOs in the last five years. They have approximately 160 active portfolio companies which it advises through its “Insight Onsite” consulting arm. Insight also operates an active outbound sourcing effort. Their team of ~40 professionals is in dialogue with 15,000+ companies per year to source both direct and add-on investments.
