CRM: Part I, Sales Engagement Tools

The term “Customer Relationship Management,” or CRM, is one of the most popular buzz words in the corporate world today, and for good reason. The CRM market has grown exponentially over the past decade to become the enterprise software market leader. By the end of 2016, CRM is expected to surpass ERP as the highest grossing software sub segment in terms of revenue, and is forecast to reach $36.5B by 2017. In our first iteration of this CRM Insight, we highlight the Sales Engagement Tools segment. These tools focus on the key functions that comprise the majority of prospect contact: messaging, calling, content & collaboration, and analytics of these activities. Future releases will detail other segments. The report also takes a closer look into the overall CRM market as well as companies in the ecosystem, M&A and private placement activity.
