With 280+ direct investments since 1995, Insight Venture Partners is an extremely active acquirer and investor in technology. In 2016 alone, Insight made over 20 direct and 40 add-on investments in technology companies. Insight is actively investing from its Insight Venture Partners IX fund, which closed in August, 2015. Together with the Insight Venture Partners Growth Buyout fund, its co-investment companion fund, the pair raised a total of ~$5B. Recently, the Firm reportedly achieved its first close on a successor fund, Insight Venture Partners X, for $3.6B.
